Tackling Childhood Obesity with the NFL |
During the winter months it's sometimes difficult to keep kids active. Yet it's a great time for sports, with football, hockey, and basketball all at the height of their seasons. So this is a perfect time for nonprofits that deal with youth and sports to be recruiting volunteers. |
A new campaign from the National Football League in support of your work and VolunteerMatch is a timely reminder about the importance of keeping your listings fresh and updated. After all, you never know when the perfect volunteer will reach out through VolunteerMatch. |
This month a partnership launched between VolunteerMatch and the NFL PLAY 60 campaign. The partnership is designed to help make it easier for fans to discover volunteer opportunities in the youth health and wellness space. Just as Play 60 encourages kids to be active, the partnership with VolunteerMatch extends that challenge to adults who want to work for childrens' health and wellness. |
The NFL PLAY 60 VolunteerMatch website is now accessible from www.nflrush.com/play60. There, parents and adults can find local volunteer opportunities from VolunteerMatch's national network of more than 75,000 participating nonprofits – including your listings. |
Since your organization is already working to help children be healthy and active, take this great opportunity to be more visible to a huge group of young, active sports fans and their parents. |

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI have organized the Chicago Public School Scholastic Elementary tackle football program. My name is Robert M. Douglas and I have also founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit grass-roots organization called S.O.N Foundation. We are based in the Roseland community on the far south side of Chicago, illinois. Our elementary football team collaborates with Gwendolyn Brooks H.S. providing tutoring to our student athletics. We are challenged with having a youth asthma, obesity, and bad eating habits. We are working with an operation budget of zero dollars, so if this organization would like to help please contact Jacqueline S. Sherley @ 773-699-6527 ASAP. All donations are tax deductible!
PEACE,
