This Chicago Urban Education forum will strive to raise the understanding and awareness of the complexities of education on the south side of Chicago. In addition to Dr. West, speakers include: Dr. Timuel Black, professor emeritus of CCC; Dr. Joseph Strickland, UIC researcher; Dina Everage, principal at Reed and Wentworth Schools; Dennis Lacewell, principal of Urban Prep Academy; Che "Rhymefest" Smith, hip hop artist; Dr. David Stovall, professor at UIC and Dr. Wayne Watson, president of Chicago State University.
