Global Youth Service Day

Global Youth Service Day
April 15-17, 2011

Global Youth Service Day is an annual campaign that celebrates and mobilizes the millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning. Established in 1988, Global Youth Service Day is the largest service event in the world, and the only day of service dedicated to children and youth. GYSD is celebrated each year in over 100 countries. This year, Global Youth Service Day will be April 15-17. Learn more at www.GYSD.org

More than 325,000 youth volunteers have already committed to improving their communities through service and service-learning on Global Youth Service Day. (90 GYSD Lead Agencies and Semester of Service Lead Organizers will engage at least 121,321 youth volunteers; 125 State Farm Good Neighbor and 333 UnitedHealth HEROES grantees will engage at least 103,688 volunteers; and GYSD Regional Partners will engage at least 100,000 youth volunteers.)
