Now the next phase for Put Illinois to Work businesses and workers will be starting tomorrow, January 20 at 1 p.m. For any PITW workers that were not hired or for any business that could not afford to hire their PITW workers, this is a program for you.
Now the next phase for Put Illinois to Work businesses and workers will be starting tomorrow, January 20 at 1 p.m. For any PITW workers that were not hired or for any business that could not afford to hire their PITW workers, this is a program for you.
CCH, Universidad Popular, and Right Start Outreach Training Center are creating an on-the-job training program for you to hire PITW workers full-time, and receive 40-50% of their wages--about $5,000 per employee--back for up to six months. Add this to the $2,500 tax credit Gov. Quinn is offering for businesses for hiring a PITW worker, and if you hire 5 PITW workers, your business can save $37,500 this year in payroll expenses.
This is not a state program yet, but it is a community program using available federal funds to keep qualified employees hired and help private businesses recover some of their payroll expenses this year.
