Executive Function skills impact our behavior throughout most areas of life.  For students, executive function skills are essential for areas of academic performance.  Additionally, our ability to successfully navigate social relationships is dependent on our competency with executive function skills.  

Participants will receive:
  • An explanation of “Executive Functions”
  • Latest neuroscience research
  • Definition of twenty first century brains
  • Description of applications for organization and time management, critical thinking, goal-setting, test preparation and self-awareness
  • Practical strategies to use at home, school and work
  • RNBC Executive Functions Program
Georgia Bozeday, Ed.D., is the Director of Educational Services at RNBC and Adjunct Professor at Northeastern Illinois University.  She currently manages the Executive Function projects and services provided by the RNBC educational team.  Dr. Bozeday guides the process of curriculum design and implementation of the RNBC Executive Functions programs. Dr. Bozeday recently retired as Assistant Superintendent from Sunset Ridge School, provided oversight for District Staff Development and the Executive Function Program. Her dissertation centered on the study of constructing and implementing a curriculum for social behavior. She has experience in speech and language pathology, learning disabilities and gifted education.  Dr. Bozeday received her B.S. from Northwestern University and her Ed.D. from National-Louis University. Her recent article, Media Multitasking and the Student Brain, published by School Specialty is available at http://www.premier.us/education-resources/white-papers/media-multitasking-and-student-brain.  Dr. Bozeday and the Educational Services Department have developed an Executive Function Curriculum Notebook Series also published by School Specialty.
