NASBHC Convention Youth Scholarships: This year at NASBHC’s annual convention in Chicago, NASBHC will have a special convention track just for students. The Youth Track is an opportunity for high school-aged students to learn about the health and policy issues associated with school-based health centers (SBHCs), while also developing their own leadership and advocacy skills. Thanks to some generous donations and a bit of grant funding, NASBHC will be able to provide a limited number of full and partial scholarships to help students mitigate the cost of attending the convention.
The application process for the scholarship is two-fold. First, a student must be nominated by an adult who is involved with SBHCs in some capacity. This could include clinical staff, youth advisory leaders, and SBHC administrators. Once the student is nominated, they will have the opportunity to submit an essay or video along with an application form. Submissions are due to NASBHC by Tuesday, March 22.
