National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day: The Stakeholders Collaboration to Improve Student Health is co-hosting an event in recognition of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Region V – HIV/AIDS Regional Network. This event is free, open to the public (though specifically aimed toward women and high school aged girls ages 12-17), and will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Gary Comer Youth Center from 9 am – 3 pm.

There will be free HIV testing, workshops on topics such as HIV prevention, healthy sexuality, and healthy relationships, and Service Learning Credit is available to CPS students.
