CO-TRAINER FOR PEER-BASED, BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTION!

Sisters Informing, Healing, Living, and Empowering: A Peer-Led, Group-Level HIV Prevention Intervention for Sexually Active, African American Teenage Females
CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING-
· Available to attend 4-day, intensive training (March 22-25, 2011) in Chicago’s Hyde Park;
· Available for occasional, pre-scheduled travel to gain further intervention skills and knowledge and to serve as a “near peer” trainer;
· Must currently be between the ages of 18-21;
· Able to communicate well, present to an audience, and engage targeted population on discussions around sex, sexuality, STIs/HIV, condom use, condom negotiation, and self empowerment;
· Able to relate to young, African American females between the ages of 14-18.
INCENTIVES FOR CANDIDATES-
· Opportunity to learn about CDC’s DEBI (Diffusion of Effective Behavioral Interventions) Program through practical experience as a DEBI trainer
· Opportunity to travel and network, nationally;
· Earn $100/day plus all expenses paid travel and lodging;
· Learn more about science-based public health interventions
· Opportunity to be trained by phenomenal master trainers and mentors
