This workshop is for social service providers, crisis workers, school personnel, emergency services staff, public service employees and pastoral caregivers.
Concepts reviewed will include:
· Healthy sexual development for children and adolescents
· Problematic sexual behaviors at various levels of development
· Identification of levels of sexually problematic behavior
· Techniques for assessing for sexually problematic behavior and engaging children and adolescents in discussion of sexual behaviors
· Techniques for initial treatment of sexually problematic behaviors in a hospital setting

Hartgrove Hospital
Erin Basalay is the postdoctoral fellow for Hartgrove Hospital. She is coordinator for the Youths Exhibiting Sexualized Symptoms (YESS) Program and serves as the interim clinical coordinator for outpatient services. She completes Sexual Aggressive Children and Youths (SACY) consultations and evaluations for Hartgrove Hospital. In addition to a presentation by Dr. Basalay, therapists in the YESS Program will discuss case examples.
