This year, we have an new opportunity for community organization leaders to apply for a scholarship to attend the PHEP Summit. There is a specific track this year for Cultural Preparedness, that will have speakers from all over the country discussing how to integrate communities into preparedness and recovery efforts.
Attached to this email is the application, please fill it out, or forward to an organization leader you would like to recommend attend, and send it back as soon as possible. Please submit your application no later than Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
If you are not eligible for the scholarship or you would like more than one representative of your organization to attend the conference. Please feel free to fill out the standard registration which is available below.

This joint conference, hosted by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois Public Health Association, is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of critical public health preparedness and emergency response issues, as well as the importance of community readiness and individual preparedness. The conference will be 2.5 days in length and will consist of multiple tracks, over 20 concurrent sessions, several plenary sessions, an exhibit hall, skills-building roundtable sessions, webcasts, a reception and annual awards recognition. IPHA will be celebrating their 70th Annual Meeting with preconference summits, section meetings, the annual business meeting, awards and a special dinner.
