The Project Coordinator - Transportation will coordinate "active transportation" efforts for the Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) cooperative agreement sponsored by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position will be responsible for coordinating the development of two specific transportation planning projects - the Safe Park Access Plan and the Chicago Complete Streets Policy and Design Guidelines Project. Public Policy Intern (Graduate student) - Illinois Action for Children
Under the direction of the Senior Policy Associate, the Intern monitors state and federal policies impacting children and families in Illinois. The Intern assists senior policy staff in legislation tracking, analysis and reporting to the agency and statewide membership and other projects as assigned. The Lead is responsible for monitoring, supporting and supervising 20 to 25 low-income, active parents and grandparents, ages 35 to 50, who are currently raising (or have recently raised) an adolescent. Choose Respect Illinois - Youth Internship
The ILAACP is currently seeking a youth intern for the Choose Respect Illinois Initiative (CRI). The CRI is a statewide youth leadership program that promotes healthier relationships. Applicants must be between the ages 15 and 18; currently enrolled in high school; have effective oral and written communication skills; and possess demonstrated leadership ability through after-school, faith-based or academic programs. The CRI intern will receive a stipend for 10-15 hours of work a month, a CTA transportation card, and service learning credits (if applicable).
