Promise Neighborhoods Program





The application process for the 2011 Promise Neighborhoods grants opened this week, with a 60-day window for applying, according to the U.S. Department of Education. This round of grants provides $30 million to be divided between a new set of planning grants and implementation grants. Nonprofits, institutions of higher education and Indian tribes are eligible. Winners will be selected no later than Dec. 31. More infor-mation and the application are available at the Promise Neighborhoods section of the Department of Education website.







Deadline for Notice of Intent to Apply: July 22, 2011

Deadline for Intergovernmental Review: November 4, 2011
