Job Description: Full-time position available immediately

Purpose of the Position

The primary purpose of the position is to coordinate the overall operation of the Social Services Department and ensure compliance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations and our established policies and procedures. Generally, the PRSD is responsible for:

1) Developing, implementing, and supervising the facility’s psychiatric rehabilitation staff and program to ensure residents’ needs are met
2) Developing and implementing the facility’s staff training and in-service programs relating to the psychiatric rehabilitation program; and
3) Ensuring the coordination and monitoring of the residents’ participation in the psychiatric rehabilitation program ITP;
4) Ensure that each resident’s ITP is developed by an IDT and is individualized, states the progressive goals of treatment, includes measurable objectives, is written in behavioral terms, is understandable and acknowledged by resident and staff, and is implemented.
5) Ensure that residents’ needs are met through appropriate staff interventions and community resources and, whenever possible that residents and their families or significant others are involved in the preparation of their plan of care;
6) Ensure the availability of education and information for family members of residents.
