Summer Splash Challenge

Summer Splash Challenge
For most children and teenagers, summer is a time to have fun and take a break from school. Yet many children tend to forget some of what they've learned or slip out of practice during the summer months. Researchers are now finding that the way kids spend their summer makes a big difference in whether or not they develop well---and whether or not they do well in school. As a way to help families prevent the summer slide, ParentFurther, a Search Institute resource for parents and parent educators, has created the Summer Splash Challenge, a series of fun and educational activity ideas that support academic and civic success, physical health and fitness, and the importance of fun learning.
