As you may be aware, the CTA is accepting applications for the 2011 Holiday Food Train Program, a program where CTA employees donate funds for holiday food baskets to be donated to Community Based Organizations (CBO) that work with families or individuals in need. That being said, perhaps you may know of a CBO (church, social service agency, food pantry, school, etc) that serves low income families and/or the homeless community, which may qualify for the CTA Holiday Food Train Program. If so, please have the CBO submit a request in writing to my attention as follows.
- Request must be on the organization's letter head
- Request must state organizations' mission statement, populating serve, how and why population is served
- Request must state how organization would benefit from being selected to receive a donating of CTA's holiday food baskets
- Request must be submitted via email or fax by August 6, 2011
- Organization must understand that submittal does not guarantee selection
- Organization must be open to a site visit
