Good Morning,

Even though summer has not officially left us yet, preparations are well underway for Operation Warm 2011!

Attached is a copy of the 2011 flyer in English and Spanish.  Flyers are being distributed this week to all FamilyWorks and LAC offices and next week to PPM and HCV satellite offices.  The flyer is also being mailed to the approximately 14,000 eligible HCV households.  Here are a few  other important details:

·         This initiative is open to all CHA families, both public housing and HCV (temp and permanent) who have children on their lease born on or after 1/1/1997
·         The coat distribution will take place on Saturday, October 29th at the UIC Forum from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (extended one hour this year)
·         The website, www.chayouth.org will go live on Tuesday, September 6th at 8:00 a.m.
·         There are a total of 10,000 coats available with a greater distribution of larger sized coats for both genders
·         Once all 10,000 coats have been requested (confirmed coat orders), the website will take up to an additional 1,000 standby-orders before closing down
·         Residents with confirmed coat orders will be invited to pick up their coats on 10/29 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
·         Residents with standby coat orders will be invited to come to the Forum that day at 12:30 p.m. and fulfill their standby orders from any unclaimed coats
·         The service fair will also take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; we anticipate approximately 40 organizations will participate
