IIT volunteer fair

Dear Colleague,

On Saturday, August 20, from 1-4 pm, Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT; www.iit.edu) will be hosting a Volunteer Service Fair to connect IIT students interested in volunteering to Chicagoland organizations that seek prospective volunteers for the 2011-2012 academic year. This fair is being held during IIT’s “Welcome Week” for incoming and returning students, and we expect at least 200 undergraduate and graduate students (future architects, businesspeople, engineers, lawyers, mathematicians, psychologists, scientists, teachers, and many others!) to be in attendance.

We hope you or a representative of your organization will consider joining us!

If you are interested in sending a representative to IIT’s Volunteer Service Fair, we ask that you complete our online registration form (tinyurl.com/iitvolunteerfair) ASAP or, at latest, by Friday, August 12. Please be aware that we have a limited number of tables available and will accept registrations on a first-come, first-served basis. Each attending organization will be provided with a table in the McCloska Ballroom on the west side of IIT’s McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC; 3201 S. State St., Chicago, IL, 60616), a high-traffic student center building. Closer to the event date, we will send registered groups a confirmation email with a parking permit and further information.

With any questions, please contact Lynne Meyer, Director of Spiritual Life and Service Learning, at lmeyer2@iit.edu or 312.567.3160, or Marya Spont, Community Liaison and Outreach Coordinator for Undergraduate Admission, at spont@iit.edu or 312.567.5193.

Thank you for your interest in participating in IIT’s Volunteer Service Fair!
