Rev Up! Professional Development Training to support Youth Organizing/Activism

CFS is collaborating with other social justice and youth-led social change organizations to offer a four-day professional development training for adults who currently, or plan to, support youth activism/organizing in their organizations, schools, houses of worship, and neighborhoods.
This training program will help you to:
· Connect issue-based organizing, constituency-based organizing and other anti-oppression work to a historical context of movement-building.
· Understand the role of identity development as part of successful youth leadership development.
· Develop holistic leadership development and youth-led social change approaches that address the social-emotional needs of young people.
· Learn practical organizing and movement-building skills.
· Learn about different models of youth-led social change approaches.
· Learn popular education models and practices.
TRAINING HOURS:
Tuesday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
at the CFS Center for Social Change,
719 S. State St., Suite 3N
(Breakfast at 8:30 a.m.)
Participants are expected to attend all
four days of the training institute.

$325 - Early bird registration fee no later than
September 26
$375 - Regular full registration fee after September 26
(The fee includes breakfast and lunch)
THE LOCATION IS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE
Participants who want to secure a space in the training program are required to put down a non-refundable $100 deposit, which will be counted towards the total registration fee.
There are no refunds for cancellations that occur after September 26. Registration fees can be paid by check or online here.
