Dear Service Provider,
We are excited to be able to offer you a new workshop: Psychological First Aid Basic Concepts. Participants will increase their understanding of, and abilities to:
1.     Actively listen
2.     Recognize benign, non-incapacitating mental/behavioral reactions
3.     Recognize more severe, potentially incapacitating behavioral reactions
4.     Mitigate acute distress, as appropriate
5.     Recognize when to facilitate access to further mental health support
6.     Practice self-care

To register for the course participants should go to the following link :
Here participants will complete the following steps:
1st  : Register (by creating a username and password) and then Login.
2nd : Click on Course Catalog (on left side of Home page)
3rd :  under Course Keyword Search type the name of the training which is:
         COMMUNITY PARTNERS-BASIC PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID
        (course is found under Emergency Preparedness)
4th  : Click on Enroll

NOTE: The application will close on October 21, 2011 and notifications will be sent out shortly thereafter.
