Free Concussion Training

Free Concussion Training
The Chicago Concussion Coalition is having a free training session on Sat. Nov. 19th at the Illinois Eye Institute (3241 S. Michigan Ave.Chicago, Illinois 60616) from 9-10:30 a.m. There are only 450 seats available, so it is important that anyone interested RSVP to David Burchett at dlb802004@gmail.com.

The training session will cover,
What is a concussion?
What are the direct causes of a concussion?
Preventive measures for avoiding a concussion.
Stretches and Exercises to prevent concussions.
Resources for dealing with a concussion (medical personal, emergency response hot lines, etc).

All attendees will receive a certification for attending the training session and all teachers will receive CPDU's for each training session. It is important to note that this will fulfill the new IHSA and IESA concussion training requirements for coaches.
