Job Purpose: Within
centers/sites, camp, and external locations, performs functions to
coordinate and implement out-of-school time youth development
activities; working with the program team under general direction of a
Youth Worker and supervision of a Center Director, plans and implements
daily lessons and activities for assigned after school group in the
context of CYC’s Positive Youth Development program framework.
Requirements: Associate’s
Degree or equivalent in Youth Development or related field, with a
minimum of six semester hours in Child Development, Elementary
Education, Physical Education, Recreation, Camping or other related
field. Associate’s Degree Equivalency:
30+ semester hours of college credit plus 2 years of experience in

Job Purpose: In
collaboration with the Center Director and the Safety Net Works
Coordinator responsible for the Safety Networks Youth Leadership
Program. The Youth Organizer will take the initiative to plan,
implement, and coordinate youth organizing activities utilizing the
Positive Youth Development program framework and community organizing
practices in accordance with Chicago Youth Centers' mission, vision,
values and the Illinois Violence Prevention (IVPA) planned objectives.
Although the Youth Organizer is assigned to a specific project, this
position may be designated to assist and support other site specific
programs or other CYC sites as needed. The work hours are 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM.

for managing casework and re-entry transition services relating to the
Neighborhood Recovery Initiative: Re-Entry Component; ensure that case
activities conform to project guidelines and are effectively
administered.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in social work, human services, or a related field.Two
years of case management experience. Strong communication skills
(written and verbal). Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to pass
an MVR background check. Must be willing to work a
flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, and must be
available after-hours for clients in crisis. Experience in working with
community partners. Experience in working with high risk
youth and young adults in urban communities. Must be familiar with and
comfortable traveling to the south and west sides of Chicago.

Perform functions to develop classroom plans, supervise classroom
activities and general development of children in a preschool teaching
environment, reflecting the Head Start standards and the CYC educational

Job Purpose:
Perform functions to provide casework services for private partners,
counseling, and referral resources to families of children enrolled in
the child development program to help families set goals and create
individualized family service plans. Recruit and enroll eligible
families for program. Provide leadership to partner sites in planning
and implementing parent workshops, activities and program goverance.
Achieve successful transition children to Kindergarten.
Requirements: BA degree in Early Childhood Education. 1-2
years of related Head Start experience and or Social Service. Strong
communication skills (verbal and written). Computer skills (Microsoft

JOB PURPOSE:
The Communications and Development Coordinator designs and implements
communications strategies support of agency mission and goals. He/she
also provides support for the development program by preparing general
operating proposals and stewardships reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with
preference for English, mass communication, journalism, public
relations, or other relevant subject matter area. Require two to five
years of professional experience, preferably in a non-profit
environment. Excellent command of English and the ability to compose,
edit, and proof read materials. Grant writing experience desired.
Publications experience required. Solid experience with website design
and management software required (Joomla Content Management preferred).
Previous experience working with Social Media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter,
etc.) on behalf of an organization desired. Extensive computer
