Date: Tuesday, November 15 2011 Time: 3:00pm-4:30pm Where: State Farm’s Next Door - Red/Blue Conference Room (659 W. Diversey) Cost: Free Excel is a powerful tool however many individuals find themselves frustrated, intimidated or overwhelmed. With millions of functions it can be difficult to identify what's important. This workshop will show you how to end Excel frustration by providing the how-to's for managing spreadsheets, shortcuts and manipulating data in a real-world context. Work smarter, not harder by enrolling in this workshop. This workshop will include: • Essential Excel shortcuts • Managing spreadsheets (conditional formatting, formulas, data validation, etc.) • Manipulating large data sets • Creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) YNPN members must bring their own laptop. Instructor is comfortable with all versions of Microsoft Excel as well as Mac computers. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to set-up your laptop. Jamal has had leadership roles at Starcom Worldwide, Kraft Foods and Accenture. An avid student of business and economics, he received his B.A. from The University of Iowa. While earning his M.A. in Economics from DePaul University he completed his ground-breaking economics research on game theory, which earned him a thesis with high honors. Most recently he received his M.B.A. from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. During his professional career Jamal has become proficient in excel and has developed several models and led several excel workshops.
