BACP Offers Free Workshops In May Teaching Business Start Up Essentials

The City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection (BACP) continues to offer free workshops to help new and existing businesses.

This months workshop topics address some of the most common questions asked by entrepreneurs,  such as choosing the right legal entity for a business, small business taxes and how to handle real estate transactions.  These topics give entrepreneurs a solid foundation to start their business.

Other important classes this month will inform businesses on how to do business with the city, City Contracting 101: How to Respond to an RFP. Every month the city offers classes on How to Become Certified/Doing Business with the City.

Workshops are conducted by city officials, BACP’s partner organizations, or by experts in the industry.  Workshops are located at BACP’s City Hall Office, 121 N. La Salle Street, Room 805.
