Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions
Subject to management approval (Senior Public Service Administrator/Division Director) serves as the Associate Director of the Office of Family Health administering a statewide program in Maternal Health, Family Planning and Child Health including prenatal and pre-conceptional care activities, perinatal services, Maternal and Child Health (MCH) evaluation studies, and the Parents Too Soon. The Associate Director of the Office is the Maternal and Child Health Chief with overall responsibility for a State Plan for Maternal and Child Health, the MCH Block Grant, Title X and Title XX funded family planning programs and other special Department of Health and Human Services grants and preparation of required progress and statistical reports of those projects and programs. Supervises subordinate staff performing activities for the program.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires Illinois license to practice medicine and completion of an approved residency in the position related medical specialty; requires American Board Certification in the position related medical specialty plus a Master's degree in Public Health. Requires three years of substantive medical administrative experience in clinical program direction, planning and evaluation. requires extensive knowledge of health services programs in State government and related Federal and State laws and regulations.
