News from the Career Development Center: LEAD Program

I am emailing each of you to inform you of an incredible opportunity for our young people ages 14-21.
Phalanx’s Career Development Center (CDC) will host a paid leadership training entitled, “Leading Emerging Adolescents to Destiny (L.E.A.D.)”.

L.E.A.D. is a six week paid internship providing future leaders with intensive leadership training.  The program will begin on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 3:45 p.m. and ends Thursday, November 10, 2011.  L.E.A.D. is   loaded with opportunities to gain tools that will enable youth to become great and effective leaders.  This opportunity is only for those residing in Region 6 area.

If you desire more information on L.E.A.D. for your youth, please respond to my email at jcable@phalanxgrpservices.org

However, this email is not only to inform you of this exciting opportunity for your youth, it is also an email seeking your assistance to serve as one of our judges.  Our judges will be responsible for selecting our final 10 individuals to participate in the L.E.A.D. internship.

We are requesting judges to arrive at Phalanx Family Services (1201 W. 115th Street) on Thursday, September 29 at 3:30 p.m.  The judging will start immediately at 4:00 p.m., and could possibly end around 4:45-5:00 p.m.    Light refreshments will be served.
