The All Star Team Presents: The Need for After School Programs in Chicago
This past Saturday, Girls in the Game teen leaders held a one day health and leadership Girls' Summit for over 50 girls from around Chicago. The teens led workshops on volleyball, softball, leadership, and smart eating. The event also featured the premiere of the All Star Team's video emphasizing the need for after school programs in Chicago. With funding from United Health HEROES from the United Health Group and Youth Service America, the girls chose to create a video highlighting the importance of after school programs in preventing youth violence and encouraging physical activity.
