Survey Regarding LGBT Community Needs Assessment

Survey Regarding LGBT Community Needs Assessment
Take the Survey!
The Steering Committee of the LGBT Community Fund, recently released a needs assessment survey for LGBT communities and families, within the Chicagoland area. In 2010, civic leaders joined in a committment to addressing a broad range of needs within the LGBT community, through strategic support to nonprofit organizations that serve it. The new LGBT Community Fund is the first of its kind established at a community foundation in a U.S. major metropolitan area.
This survey was released in response to the Fund’s mission to improve the lives of LGBT individuals with the aim of gaining insight on the daily struggles of these marginalized communities. Questions asked range from basic demographic information and personal relationships to interactions with healthcare and human service providers.
Answers provide vital information on issues that affect members of the LGBT community and will be shared at several community presentations, after the completion of the study. These presentations will help advocate for the needs of the community, as well as allow for the improvement in living conditions for LGBT individuals in the area.
The survey can be found here.
